Doug Yates was a huge part of Southern Shih Tzu Rescue for many years and served on the executive committee as Chair, Co-ordinator and Home Assessment Officer before retiring in 2015. Doug and his wife Pat were awarded Lifetime Membership of the rescue for their years of dedication and commitment to the dogs.
Sadly Doug passed away on 25th December 2020 and is greatly missed by all his family and friends.
His nephew, Steve Walder will be running a 1/2 marathon in memory of his wonderful Uncle this year, raising much needed funds for Southern Shih Tzu Rescue, so we can continue to help the dogs that come into our care….something that Doug and his wife Pat were very passionate about.
